This piece was painted in the late 1980's at the Senior Center for the ARTS in Tallahassee, FL. She modeled for the group of Portrait artist on a Tuesday morning in June in what I think was her graduation dress. She is now a Attorney with her own practice in Tallahassee. I favor this piece as a example of one of my early portrait studies when I was learning the oil medium painting from life. I tell my students that this is the only way to learn as it is the best teacher.
