From my Kansas City, MO. collection of portraits painted at the JOYFILI GALLERY from 2000 to 2009.
This young dancer modeled in a window to the mall at the oldest Mall on Rt. Inner state 70 in 2006 to 2007. Her Grand mother asked me to paint her grand child, a soon to be dancer, but only if I started the portrait it must be finished. I later learned the stipulation was made because as a young dancer in Finland her Mother had hired a artist to paint her, but it was started an never finished. This was a work of many hours sittings, usually for just 1 hour only on Saturdays when the child was available. When it was finally finished and the time was tabulated the Price was more than could be than realized, two giclee copies were made and purchased. The child after practicing her ballet and learning the dance of the "NUTCRAKER" stared as Clara as the heroine. After which she returned to her family in IDAHO.
